The defining artist of her generation, violinist Hilary Hahn combines technical perfection with an unmatched musical depth. Since her major orchestra debut at the age of 12, she has performed with the world’s leading ensembles, on all of its major stages, and with the greatest of her contemporaries. A two time Grammy winner, Ms. Hahn is as committed to contemporary works as those of the great masters, and has commissioned and premiered many new works for the violin, including the Pulitzer Prize winning concerto of Jennifer Higdon. She will be joined by pianist Cory Smythe in sonatas by Schumann and Debussy, and will perform a solo partita by J.S. Bach, the music and composer with whom she is most strongly associated.
